Key Features:

Starfruit Chart is a grade book and role sheet for instructors. The performance graphs and important statistics that it provides make it easy to see trends and anomalies in student performance and put key information immediately at hand.  It takes instructors' courses seriously by encrypting grade book files against tampering and allowing anonymous student grade lists to be posted in class.  It easily holds the scores of up to 100 students across up to 26 weeks of teaching.  It runs quickly in native C++ code, calculates floating-point scores up to 5 points of precision (10.000) and uses a minimalist user interface design for an uncluttered user experience. It does what you tell it to do and allows instructors to spend more time doing what they love most: planning and presenting lessons to their students.

The application provides additional tools to the instructor by grouping scores into grades for each type of assignment. It visualizes scores in week-to-week graphs for individual students and the class as a whole, annotated with markers for tardies, absences, extra credit, running cumulative grade, grade for the week, average student grade and more. The performance graph for students displays lines for each assignment type, grade for the week and running cumulative grade. These graphs and the statistics give insights for student counseling, parent-teacher meetings, administrative reports and curriculum planning.

Starfruit Chart was born in sunny California and developed over 10 years of teaching abroad.
